What is Geometry?

Geometry is the study of angles, planes, points, and lines. When these basic elements come together, shapes are formed. Geometry is one of the few maths that is constantly around us. Everything, from the house you live in, to the chair your sitting in, to the waffle cone you fill at the ice cream shop, uses geometry. This type of math is different from most maths in that it's visual. You can actually see the shapes and angles. Since it's visual, some students find geometry "clicks" better than previous maths.

Need Extra Help? Missed a Test?

If you need extra help, please speak to Mrs. Green. An Intervention class can be scheduled for you to help things "make more sense." There is free tutoring available in the Trojan Learning Center and from the National Honor Society. Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to ask for help and make proper arrangements to receive help.

If you missed a test, you will have to make it up in the Trojan Learning Center with a faculty member on Mondays and Wednesdays. Class time cannot be given to makeup tests, as you will become even further behind in coursework.

This year, we will be using Remind101. This is a FREE service that allows Mrs. Green to send reminder text messages to students and parents without exchanging personal phone numbers. Homework reminders, upcoming tests, and project due dates can be quickly and easily communicated using this service. Remind101 is helping bridge the gap between school and home!

Click on the Remind101 logo above for information on how to register!

Intervention Classes are a Must

If you are struggling in class and your grades are below minimum expectations, you will be required to attend intervention classes during 7th period until your grades improve. Failure to attend scheduled intervention classes is considered skipping class and will warrant a WBC referral. Please understand that this is an ASH policy. We are committed to the success of every student.
